Gender Equality

Gender
Equality

I deeply believe that gender equality is not just a goal to be achieved, but a journey of awareness that everyone, both men and women, can embrace together. For years, I have been committed to developing projects and initiatives that promote inclusion, equality, and respect for gender diversity, because I believe that an inclusive environment allows everyone to fully express their potential.

My gender equality activities stem from a desire to give a voice to those who want to make a difference, to offer support to those in need, and to build a more equitable future for all.

Listening and Awareness
Every story matters, and for me, listening is the first step. In every activity, my goal is to raise awareness and create a space for listening, where we can reflect together on the importance of breaking down gender stereotypes. I share resources, stories, and research that demonstrate how gender equality is fundamental to a more just society.

Tools for Concrete Change
I believe that theory is important, but that real change comes through action. Therefore, I am committed to building concrete tools to achieve an equitable and inclusive society. I am convinced that anyone, with the right support, can contribute to change and make a real difference.

Creating Connections and Opportunities
The road to gender equality is long, but we are not alone. One of my goals, after my experience in institutions, is to create networking and support opportunities, to build communities of people who share the same values and want to promote equality.

Why is gender equality so important to me?
For me, gender equality means justice, balance, and respect for diversity, but it also means leaving a better world for future generations. I dream of a future where everyone has the same opportunities for personal and professional fulfillment, regardless of gender.
It is a dream that guides and inspires me every day.

I pursue this commitment both in my work at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Turin, within the Digital Communities and Territories research group, and in the associations UN Women Italy, Donne 4.0, Torino Città per le Donne, and as a Women in AI Ambassador for Italy.
I am also on the Scientific Committee of CIRSDe, the Interdisciplinary Center for Research and Studies on Women and Gender at the University of Turin.

I was president of the Turin section of FIDAPA BPW – Italy and a member of the board of directors of the Turin Pride Coordination Committee.
