Over 400 people attended the Federmanager Torino Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 9th, at the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi.
A valuable opportunity to discuss the role of leadership in the era of Artificial Intelligence through four words that make up an acronym that’s simple to remember yet rich in meaning.
A for Authoritativeness.
In a world where information is increasingly accessible, authority doesn’t come from our position, but from our ability to provide meaning, guide, and build trust.
R for Responsibility.
Decisions can be supported by algorithms, but responsibility remains human. This is why AI governance is a cultural rather than a technological challenge.
I for Intelligence.
Not just artificial intelligence. Collective intelligence, the ability to integrate diverse skills and perspectives, will be increasingly crucial in tackling complex problems.
A for Anticipation.
The topic I was assigned during the roundtable discussion. Anticipating means preparing people and organizations for a future that will not be defined solely by technology, but by the ability to bring different fields of knowledge into dialogue, as Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitatis, cited several times during the evening, calls for.
For many years, we have separated disciplines, skills, and languages.
Artificial Intelligence is showing us that the most important challenges are simultaneously technological, economic, organizational, legal, ethical, and social.
This is why I believe that one of the most important skills for managers of the future will be the ability to integrate different perspectives and build connections.
This opportunity also involves overcoming the gender gaps that still exist in technology professions, enhancing transversal skills, interdisciplinarity, and interpersonal skills.
Because the true distinctive skill of the 21st century will be building bridges where we have for years constructed boundaries.
Thanks to Federmanager Torino for the invitation, to national president Valter Quercioli, to Turin president Mario Cardoni, to Federmanager Minerva Torino and Roberta Laudito, to Laura Morgagni for hosting, and to all the speakers for the discussion: Luisella Giani, Luca Cagliero, Don Luca Peyron, and Sabrina Scarpati.
