I reported on the fourth edition of AIxGIRLS – Summer Tech Camp in MagIA. Artificial Intelligence Magazine: an experience that surprises me every year with the maturity and enthusiasm of the participants.
This year, I noticed a significant change: many girls clearly expressed, even in their application, a greater awareness of the gender gap in STEM fields. Not only a passion for artificial intelligence, but also reflections on stereotypes, female representation, and the social impact of technology.
I believe this is also the result of ongoing educational policies, starting with the PNRR’s investments in STEM fields, which are helping to strengthen orientation, propose positive role models, and raise the profile of gender equality.
Now, we need to make these interventions more structural.
AIxGirls confirms itself not only as a campus, but as a training ground for skills and critical awareness, where a community of girls ready to become protagonists of the digital transformation is being built.
