My 1991 thesis, “Algorithms for Truth-Maintaining Systems,” was on artificial intelligence. It was the era of expert systems, and I was already fascinated by this field.
General attention waned in the following decades, only to become “the topic” in recent years, with unimaginable progress.
The goal of gender equality has always been central to my interests, but it hasn’t made as much progress as artificial intelligence, despite becoming “more popular” than at the beginning of my career.
Now why not join forces and work to ensure that artificial intelligence helps bridge gaps, starting with gender?
