I am pleased to share an important achievement that represents a concrete step forward for our company: SMAT has obtained the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Certification for Gender Equality.
This recognition, the result of a rigorous and shared process, attests to SMAT’s commitment to promoting corporate policies that ensure equal opportunities, skills development, and inclusion at all levels of the organization.
As I have repeatedly emphasized, certification is not just a formal goal, but the tangible expression of a cultural shift that focuses on people’s well-being, overcoming prejudice, and reducing gender inequality.
SMAT’s results are significant compared to national industry benchmarks. Currently, 26% of the workforce is made up of women, significantly higher than the average for companies with the same ATECO code (22.3%). Even more significant is the data on female leadership: 40% of SMAT managers are women, compared to an average of 16.45%.
As a member of SMAT’s Board of Directors, I emphasize that SMAT not only provides quality services to the local community, but also takes on the social responsibility of building a fair, inclusive, and forward-looking work environment, along with environmental responsibility.
I thank those who have contributed to this success, because change can only be achieved together.
