Our monthly Women in AI Italy virtual luncheon last Wednesday was a stimulating opportunity for discussion, entirely dedicated to the ethics of AI and female leadership in this field.
We were delighted to host Pinelopi Troullinou, Ph.D., who guided us with her analysis of the intersection between ethics and technology, in a discussion that engaged all participants.
One point that emerged strongly from the conversation—and on which we as a community feel united—is this:
There is a growing tendency to obsessively focus on the search for the “perfect prompt,” forgetting how crucial it is to understand the structure, quality, and representativeness of the data on which AI models are trained.
Data transparency and ethical governance are essential to ensuring fairness, reliability, and accountability in every AI application.
I’m pleased to emphasize that, while promoting female leadership in AI, we discuss issues that affect society as a whole. Ethical AI is a collective effort: the more voices we listen to, the stronger the impact we can build.
