On Tuesday, March 24th in Ascoli Piceno, at the CREATE & DEVELOP initiative, we discussed Artificial Intelligence not as a technology… but as a mirror.
A mirror that amplifies who we are: skills, awareness, inequality, opportunities.
In my speech, I shared a simple yet crucial reflection: true innovation isn’t making AI smarter, but making us more aware.
We live in a time when AI accelerates everything: productivity, decisions, change.
But it also accelerates risks:
- it amplifies the differences between those who are ready and those who aren’t,
- it reflects the biases of the past,
- it forces us to rethink value, work, relationships.
So the question isn’t what can AI do? But: what happens to us while we use it?
Because the future won’t be determined by artificial intelligence.
It will be determined by the level of awareness of those who drive it.
An interesting fact emerged: the morning speakers were all women, thanks to organizer Sara Leonetti.
The startup pitches, however, are all from men. A contrast that perfectly captures the current moment.
Women in AI exist, and they bring value.
The challenge now is to make this presence increasingly widespread throughout the innovation chain.
We are working on this with Donne 4.0 and the Women in AI Italy community.
The cross-fertilization of experiences, genders, and visions is not an option.
It is a prerequisite for true innovation.
