On Thursday, April 29, I had the pleasure of participating in the conference “Artificial Intelligence and the Protection of Fundamental Rights: The Challenges of Equality and the Fight against Discrimination,” organized by Fidapa BPW Italy \u2013 Milan Section, at the Regional Council of the Lombardy Region.<\/p>\n

This stimulating discussion is part of my commitment to promoting greater awareness, especially among women, of the complex times we are experiencing, also as a member of the National Working Group on Innovation, AI, and Robotics<\/strong> and the representative of the Northwest District of FIDAPA – BPW Italy.<\/p>\n

Artificial intelligence is not neutral: it can amplify existing gender and social inequalities, but it can also be a powerful accelerant for reducing them, if designed and managed responsibly.<\/p>\n

My presentation was accompanied by that of Professor Ruben Razzante, who emphasized the importance of AI regulation at all levels of government,<\/strong> with particular attention to the supranational dimension. In this scenario, the role of international institutions and ongoing initiatives, including within the UN, is crucial.<\/p>\n

The future of AI depends on the choices we make today: this is why it is essential to continue building spaces for dialogue, awareness, and shared responsibility, like the one we saw yesterday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
